Chapter 66 Waking up at Chi’s

The unfamiliar sound woke Donald to a mass of black curls in his face.

Chi’s, and Chi’s alarm.

The grumbling behind him, and the body pressed there, could only be Li.

The bed was huge. Chi had to roll over and get out of it to turn off her alarm.

“Where’s Miray?” he asked, seeing her not in the bed.

“After both you and Li fell asleep waiting for me to get out of the shower, she decided to go home.”

Chi’s tone was off. There was more to it than that, but she wasn’t going to say.

Donald let that go. “I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.”

A grinned crossed her face. “Don’t worry about it. You and Li have been putting in a lot of extra hours.”

“And I have more of them to do,” Li said, getting out of bed and opening a drawer. “I’m late already. There are 30 kitten that are even now screaming to be fed.”
