Vikings of Asgard Chapter 13 Becoming Barons

Don and Bob end their last time setting foot on any Earth but Asgard

At the city gate, a spear toting guard stopped them from leaving. The guard reached for the bag Jason carried.

Jason stepped back and pulled his gun. It didn’t look like that guard understood what the gun was, and he stepped toward Jason.

The man carrying the knapsack barked a word in the local language and held out a single gold coin to the guard.

That did the trick. Taking the coin, the guard waved them through.

Was it taxes, or the customary bribe?

He didn’t know.

Did it matter?

Probably not.
