Starved after this morning’s work out shows, Donald looked up and surprised as Fong set down food he hadn’t ordered the moment he took his seat, his specialty of the day spicy catfish on cooked cabbage leaves.

“Fang listened in on your meeting here yesterday. I not only want to be a sponsor, I want one of those 5% slots.”

“That is for production crew.”

“I know. Fang will take that and learn. You need two good careers here if you want any real chance of making it. He wants to learn the behind-the-scenes work of producing a show. He can’t sign that contract, but I can. If we can work out something that we both can live with, I’ll be one of your sponsors if you take him on in that capacity. How is one meal a day for all crew members? I’ll need to raise prices to pull that off, but not all that much and you mentioning on your show each time should bring back what business I lose raising price.”

“I can’t promise anything. I have another meeting with Fred this evening.”

“Only this one on my schedule, you and two more, table 4.”

Having to reserve tables was a new thing here. If he needed to take reservations, maybe he could raise prices to cover the expense at that.

“I’ll be meeting him this evening in his office before heading home to sleep.”

“Then this next meeting isn’t about that?”

“It is. And if you and Fang would like to sit in, both of you are welcome to.”

“Right now, Fang is covering the kitchen, so it can only be one or the other.”

“He’s running the kitchen alone?”
