Bob woke to a black oven of a room.

“Rachel, turn on the lights. The lamp is next to you.”

Her body, too, glistened with sweat when the lights came on.

He had only gotten four hours’ sleep. Sitting up, he said to the girls, “I’m not going to be sleeping-in much in this room, I see. This shows the difference between a thatched roof and a wood shingle roof.”

Kitten said as she stood up from the floor next to his bed, “It could be that it has just gotten hotter. I can talk to Chuck and William about installing an air conditioner on the roof for you. There are a couple from a hardware store raid.”

“It is certainly hotter this week than last, and summer isn’t fully here, but no air conditioner here. Not only are we going to be short on power, but I don’t want yet another excuse not to go out and take care of the things that I need to do. What do you have here for me that is good for hot weather?”

She smiled at him. “You, Rachel, Jade, and Tammy go rinse off and I will have your stuff laid out by the time you are done. Nice cool silks for you, and jewelry for the rest. That shower is big enough for all four. I’ll be at Chuck’s tonight, unless you require me here.”

Both Jade and the new blond Tammy sauntered to the shower, putting as much invitation into it as they could.

Bob couldn’t help but grin. Both might come from aristocratic families, but both were whores, used to using their bodies to get what they wanted. He understood what Jade wanted, but what did Rachel want?
