Stepping from the Basilisk, Don pulled down the mosquito netting that draped from the cowboy hat he now wore. Yesterday when the swarm of black flies arrived taught him good: these fly bites hurt! Taking a deep breath He ran for the limo he had just purchased from King Peter.

As he closed that distance, the driver dress in a beekeeper outfit pulled open the door and used the broom he had to try to keep the flies out as Don climbed in.

He was mostly successful, and the moment he got the door close Kim went to work with a fly swatter.

“What’s wrong?” she asked as the driver climbed in and pulled the limo out onto the empty road.

Don sighed. “Tim.”

She groaned, then asked, “What’d he do this time?”

“The ivory he took back. The pieces were too big and drew the wrong type of attention. They still think it is elephant ivory, and he’s wanted for questioning on suspicion of ivory smuggling. Rachel is under investigation too, and they have some evidence against her but haven’t arrested her, yet. They will, and when they raid the warehouse, they’ll find things I don’t want found.”

“Damn your brother.”

Taking a deep breath, he continued. “It’s only partly his fault. Rachel hasn’t been as careful as she should.”

“When’s this raid going to happen?” she said slapping a fly that had escaped her.

“There, we’re in luck. They’re currently only staking out the place. They think more ivory’s coming in and want to catch who is bringing it into the country.”

“What’re you going to do?”
